Glossary
With a CGI-Index you have the possibility to use any own CGI-Scripts. For the using of the CGI-Interfaces there are available Compiler respectively Interpreter for the programming languages Perl, C, C++, TCL, Python as well as the Java Developers Kit (JDK).
Besides the Standard-Modules there are available among others the following Perl-Modules:
DBI, LWP, HTML-parser, CGI.pm, MIME-Base64, MD5, libnet, DBD (incl. DBD:
:mysql and DBD::mSQL) and GD.pm
You have the possibility to integrate as many graphically access counters to your offer as you like. Here you can choose among many different appearances.
Use, without having to make further settings, any E-Mail-addresses you like with your own domain! Usually the main-POP3-E-Mail-mailbox of each account is configurated to accept incoming E-Mails for any address of your domain (any@yourdomain.com). Of course you can adjust the system to accept E-Mails just for certain addresses.
You can configurate the server so that incoming E-Mails to certain addresses of your domain will be transmitted automatically to any other internal or external E-Mail-addresses. At the packages Basic 5, Basic 10 and Basic 20 it works just under certain TopLevelDomains, as per example .com, .net, .org and others. At package Basic 100 there is a transmission under every domain you like possible. With this there are also Parallel- Transmissions as many as 10 different addressees possible.
Personal "Error Code 404"-Page
You can create your personal "Error Code 404"-HTML-Page. It appears automacally when a page under your domain that doesn't exist no more or is cancelled is called up.
FormMail is a comfortable HTML-form => E-Mail-Gateway. The program interprets your HTML-forms and sends its formated items to any Email- Address you wish. FormMail has a great number of formatting- and executions-instructions which are defined directly through the HTML-Form
- you don't need any programming knowledge.
cgiemail is another HTML-form-processor and works absolutely different than the FormMail previously described. The program written in C reads a Template-File, completes the defined fill-in's of the Template with the according item of the HTML-Form and sends the result per E-Mail to any address you wish. Because of the free definable Template the outgoing E- Mail can be formated as you like.
Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions
This server supports the most topical Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions. So that you can, for example, extend your sites just by mouseclick to a lot of interactive functions such as access counter, discussion forum, search engine, guestbook, etc. in connection with MS FrontPage. Furthermore you can create some more accounts, confer permessions and make particular areas of your offer just available to specific users by yourself. Though questions concerning FrontPage we cannot answer.
Each Account has its own FTP-Access. Over this Access the server is accessible around the clock so you can upload your dates or actualize them.
Guestbook
Our guestbooks don't contain advertising and can be accommodated to your pages as you like.
Integrate in a trice fast Java Chat-Rooms into your website. On your account we make available a comfortable interface in the form of a Java- Applet which connects you directly with your own Chat-Rooms on our Chat- Server. So your visitors can chat with each other in different rooms on a comfortable surface and also open private Chat-Rooms with other visitors.
With this function your costumers can sign on themselves to your personal Mailing-Lists. Our server offers the possibility to adjust a plenty of those lists. Each list can govern as many as 1000 addressees and the outgoing Mailing can be as big as 75 KB.
Here there are two possibilities:
1. Subscribable Mailinglist administered by us
Advantages: No administration effort for you, free of charge.
Disadvantage: The maildelivery could last some hours (depending on server workload).
In simple words, it is an interactive newsletter, which allows a member to exchange his informations with all other members. This variant is suitable for rather a few subscribers.
2. Subscribable Mailinglist (Majordomo) administered by yourself
Majordomo is a flexible and powerful tool to interact with your customers in a comfortable way. In simple words, it is an interactive Newsletter which allows a member to exchange his informations with all other members. There are many configuratable functions such as automatical registration and cancel the registration, moderation and a lot more. With a Majordomo-List you can send as many as 1.500 Mails per day. Would you like to raise this limit, please ask for the special conditions.
Advantages: professional solution, Mails are delivered at once.
Disadvantages: you've got to plan some expenditure of configuration.
Additional charges for this variant: 8 Euro per month, adjustment is free of charge.
MySQL is a real Multi-User-, Multi-Threaded-SQL-Database-Server and supposed the most popular on the market. MySQL is rapid, extremely stable and really easy to use. There are further informations directly under: http://www.mysql.com
Directories with password protection
With this you can protect certain subdirectories of your page so that visitors can only have a look at them with User-ID and password.

A POP3-Mailbox is a private mailbox for your E-Mails. For each of your POP3-Accounts you can define different usernames and passwords and configurate the server so that incoming E-Mails to appointed addresses of your domain will be assorted to the right mailboxes. At every domain there is a own, neutral WebMail-Interface under your own domain included.

Server Side Includes (SSI) allow the server to interpret specific SSI Commands in HTML-Documents. Via SSI you can for instance create dynamical HTML-Pages by including issues of CGI-Scripts automatically in a HTML- document or set simple server actions such as the inquiry of the current time.
